Data Bodies: Augment the Revolution is a narrative adventure game set in the 23rd century, when the physical and virtual are one reality called The Layer. Mahsa Amini was a young Iranian artist who participated in nationwide protests in Iran. She was arrested, subjected to beatings and torture, and tragically died while in detention. Her death sparked outrage and protests, shedding light on the gender-based violence and discrimination faced by Iranian women. Her story has become a symbol of the struggle for freedom, equality, and justice in Iran, and has galvanized women to continue their fight for their rights despite the risks and challenges they face.
